The Witcher 3 is better when you stop rushing the main story

Unpopular opinion, but I think The Witcher 3 becomes way more immersive when you slow down and just live in the world for a while instead of treating it like a giant checklist.

Some of my favorite moments weren’t even major story missions. They were random side quests, wandering into villages, playing Gwent, or just riding through the world with the music in the background.

The game feels less overwhelming and more memorable when you stop worrying about finishing everything efficiently.

Anyone else end up enjoying the slower side of the game more than the main plot sometimes?

I enjoy it more when I treat it like a relaxed driving experience instead of a competitive racing game. The map, vibes, and variety feel better when you’re not rushing everything.

I get why people hate the RNG upgrades, but outside of that the game is solid.
The map is great, the set-piece missions are memorable, and the different race types keep things varied.
It’s not the best NFS, but it’s way more enjoyable than people give it credit for.
Do people hate it because of the upgrade system, or the game overall?

I feel like the game shines more when you just roam Night City.

Side gigs feel more immersive

Random encounters hit harder

Main story feels rushed compared to exploration

Anyone else play it like this or just focus on the story?

Online has more content, but story mode just feels better overall.

More focused and consistent

Strong characters and writing

No grinding or interruptions

Feels complete from start to finish

Online is fun with friends, but story mode feels more replayable for me.

Do people still prefer Online, or has that changed?

Not saying it’s better than older Zombies, but it’s way more accessible.

Easier setup and progression

Less confusing for new players

More focus on gameplay than memorising steps

Still satisfying to grind

Feels like you can just jump in and enjoy it without overthinking everything.

Do people prefer this style or the older, more complex maps?

Curious who people rate the most across the series.

Marcus Fenix for the classic leader vibe

Dominic Santiago for the emotional side

Cole Train for pure energy

Baird for the humour

Mine changes depending on the game.

Who’s your favourite and why?

You can’t convince me otherwise.

Half the time he has no idea what he just triggered

Random levers = “important controls”

The TARDIS is basically like “please stop touching things”

And somehow it still works.

Not saying others are bad, but BO3 just does everything right for me.

Map quality is consistently high

Gobblegums add variety without ruining gameplay

Smooth mechanics and movement

Chronicles adds insane replay value

It feels like the most complete Zombies experience overall.

Curious if people still rank it at the top or not.
