I’m looking to repair my original 3DS and I have no real experience with doing hardware repairs myself.

The issue is the volume slider:

• It feels loose.
• It does change the volume, but only if I press/hold it a certain way.
• If I move it normally, the volume doesn’t reliably change.

From what I’ve read, this might be the external plastic slider/tab being loose or misaligned rather than a completely dead internal switch, but I’m not confident enough to open it up and diagnose it myself.

Most local repair places I’ve called either don’t touch 3DS hardware anymore or only do screen/battery stuff, not small things like the volume slider. Does anyone have any recommendations for good mail-in repair services that still work on original 3DS systems and are reasonably priced?
