The Transformer House — A Flexible Architecture Concept: 2, 3, or 4 Units in One Form.

I wanted to share my latest project—a "transformer" house designed for maximum flexibility.

The Concept: This building is designed to adapt to the owner's needs over time. Through a modular internal layout, it can function as:

  • 2 Large Duplexes (two-story family homes).
  • 4 Independent Apartments (for rental or smaller units).
  • A Hybrid (e.g., 1 large home and 2 small units).

Technical Details:

  • Modeling: Revit (to manage the complex spatial logic and MEP).
  • Visualization: D5 Render.
  • Design focus: Maintaining a clean, unified timber aesthetic regardless of how the interior is partitioned.

The 3D floor plan shows one of these configurations. I’m curious to hear your thoughts on this kind of "multi-scenario" housing!

Autumn Lakeside Cabin — Exploring natural light and timber textures in D5 Render.

Honestly, I'm here because the D5 Render team liked my work and suggested I share it with this community. It's my first time here, so hello everyone!

This is a personal study based on a real-world workflow.

  • Software: Revit (model based on client's IFC file).
  • Render Engine: D5 Render.
  • The Process: The building was brought in from Revit, but the entire terrain and landscape were built directly in D5 Render.

I’m curious to hear your thoughts on the integration of the Revit model with the D5 environment. Cheers!
