I remember a few years ago, there were theories involving the fact that in Yuji’s body, Sukuna had these sharp purple/black claws, which gradually went away in Shibuya and when Sukuna used Megumi as a vessel, then transformed into his true form. In both Megumi’s vessel and his true form, Sukuna’s nails were completely normal, but in Yuji’s body, it often appeared dark and/or really sharp, plus his fingers(for consumption) were depicted with similar claws(maybe discoloration from his mummification, but they were still sharp as hell either way).

Obviously I noticed because I want to suck on and worship Sukuna’s hands, so I was always staring at his majestic fingers. Like I have a hand fetish and it probably all started when I was a kid and saw the Mona Lisa’s hands for the first time. My name is Yoshikage Kira. I’m 33 years old. My house is in the northeast section of Morioh, where all the villas are, and I am not married. I work as an employee for the Kame Yu department stores, and I get home every day by 8 PM at the latest. I don’t smoke, but I occasionally drink. I’m in bed by 11 PM, and make sure I get eight hours of sleep, no matter what. After having a glass of warm milk and doing about twenty minutes of stretches before going to bed, I usually have no problems sleeping until morning. Just like a baby, I wake up without any fatigue or stress in the morning. I was told there were no issues at my last check-up. I’m trying to explain that I’m a person who wishes to live a very quiet life. I take care not to trouble myself with any enemies, like winning and losing, that would cause me to lose sleep at night. That is how I deal with society, and I know that is what brings me happiness. Although, if I were to fight I wouldn’t lose to anyone.

Anyways, I remember people freaking out when Yuji first showed up with his own claws, but it turned out to just be Yuta’s cursed tools that Yuji was wearing to hide his missing fingers, so the claws didn’t come from Yuji or anything. Maybe it was answered in some interview or volume extra, but my best guess is that it was just an artistic decision and Sukuna was originally designed to be much more monstrous, so he had claws, but Gege changed it to normal fingers since his extra body parts are just from absorbing his twin and not Sukuna being some type of creature or demon, so it made more sense for him not to have claws.

My guess is that they’d have plenty of DNA to work off of. I could see him being pumped with a lot of Yuta’s dna to give them the innate technique of copy. Plus, Gojo for 6 eyes(possibly), Sukuna for the reserves, Yuji/Maki/Toji for the body(not sure if it’d even work), etc. I could see this version having the ability to instantly copy any moves shown to them(like RCT, Domain Expansion, cursed technique reset, turning into a cursed tool, etc.). Plus I can see them getting to steal cursed techniques, cursed energy traits, etc. by absorbing people. I can also see them still having the ability to regenerate from a small cluster of cells since Cell’s regeneration seems to just be cracked and it comes from Piccolo, but his regeneration is way worse than Cell’s.

A perfect combination of dna that’s perfectly made for Jujutsu would genuinely be so busted, but I can see them being taken down if the whole verse takes them on.

For the sake of this, we’ll count the Modern Era as all the non-incarnated sorcerers in JJK. We won’t count Kenjaku for either era since he’s technically from the Heian era, but we’ve only seen him fight using Geto’s body, a modern era sorcerer. For all we know, he was much weaker in the Heian era since he doesn’t have either of his really broken cursed techniques and doesn’t have his open barrier domain since he has far less experience. I think Gojo and Sukuna should cancel each other out since they’re so close in strength, but to make it fair, we won’t count modulo Yuji either, just EoS Yuji. According to Gojo: Yuta, Hakari, Yuji, and (potentially) Megumi can all surpass him. The narrator states that Higuruma has potential equal to Gojo too, so I think that there were more talented sorcerers produced in the modern era. However, we don’t have any evidence they actually lived up to that, other than Yuji since he’s the only one who fights during Modulo. Unfortunately, JJK ended when they all had very little experience, so we won’t really see how strong they got, even if they grew very quickly. I think the Heian era had much more fighting, which caused sorcerers to grow much faster and only the strong to survive, plus more people became sorcerers, so they probably have quantity, while the modern has quality.

It’s just hard to tell in general imo since a lot of the modern sorcerers weren’t at their full potential on screen while we only see a handful of Heian era sorcerers, so we don’t have the full picture on how strong either was. We see Yorozu, Uruame, Uro, and Angel(not in her actual body, just Hana using her CT basically). Meanwhile, modern shows off all the Grade 1s, Takaba, Yuta, Yuki, Geto, Hakari, Yuji, and Maki/Toji if you decide to count them. I personally think the modern era is stronger just from what we’ve seen, but if we ever get a prolonged Heian Era flashback(like a miniseries or something, since we’ve only seen glimpses so far), that might change.
