double batch ringing up issue

The past couple of times I've gone to check out a double batch, I check out the first order, go to check out the second order, and the app has the second order as already paid for despite it not being rung up yet. I'm left with no way to pay for the second order or even get an address to deliver it to. The app is wanting a picture of a receipt that I do not have and cannot get. Also it makes me think that the first customer is paying for both orders? Each time I have contacted support and they have been ZERO help, can do absolutely nothing to straighten it out, and I've had to get the batch unassigned and then get put on 24hr timeout for cancelling after checkout has begun.

Am I doing something wrong???
