Is it just me or do other colleagues find it incredibly rude that some customers feel they are entitled to ask how much we are earning?im doing the bank holiday and have already had about 5 customers asking me how much overtime money im getting for today.i wouldn't dream of asking anybody how much they are earning in their job.

Please customers, mind your own business.

Thanks for all replies, I do understand the comments regarding people just chatting , ive work at Tesco for 25 years so I get it. I am still of the opinion that to ask about people's wages is rude, intrusive and unacceptable. Im not their friend or even associate, im just doing my job. Im sure there cant be too many other workplaces where total strangers ask about your finances.
