Hello!

My home has zero insulation in the walls. It has unfortunately been deemed not eligible for spray foam insulation. I need one room in particular insulated because my dogs will need to hang out in this room while I’m out of the house and it gets WAY hot in there when the sun is beating on one of the walls. Is there any insulation that can be hung on the interior wall to keep the room from overheating during the summer? In my head I’m envisioning wall to wall, floor to ceiling black out curtains but instead of curtains something that will keep the room cool. Does this exist? Will black out curtains actually do the trick? The walls of my home radiate heat when the sun hits them. TIA!
