I am currently on maternity leave in Wales. I am due to return later this year. I have been with this employer for coming up on 4 years
I have had a number of issues with my line manager during maternity leave lack of communication, saying things to my immediate team which is false. Not helping me gain access back to my work laptop. I have already contacted HR about this
I have recently been informed that they is moving to a new role (been promoted). They did inform me that this was happening a couple of months ago but never said when it was happening. I have been told by my immediate team that this new role is starting next week and there has been a restructuring of the reporting line. (I have not been informed of the restructuring)
As it currently stands i apparently am meant to be reporting to a newly appointed permanent member of the team, who was brought in as additional support/cover during my maternity.
Is there anything I can do with regards to this.
I would look to be applying for my (i guess old) managers role when it is advertised, although they are making comments about who they would prefer to be taking it on.
I am concerned about what my role will look like when I am due to return as the newly appointed reporting manager has had a significant career boost due to me being off, despite not being fully capable in the role
