Am I screwed?
so my TV is probably about eight years old now I cannot tell you the exact model, but it is a Samsung 50 inch- I am not sure what model I apologize, but I did take a picture of the sticker because I was confused and figured out would probably be more than just listing every number on the back of the TV!
It was working perfectly fine no issues at all until yesterday night I went to turn it on and it would not turn on with the Samsung remote or the button on the TV
Then when I use the fire stick and held it down like I would to reset it it finally turned on, but basically went full grayscale then it flashed white and shut itself off, turned itself back on acted like it was going to restart for less than a second, and then my screen was like that magenta color scheme.
The Samsung remote will not turn on or off the TV or do anything I do not have audio nor can I change the volume even with the fire stick remote.
I have a feeling I will just have to replace it, but if anyone has any ideas, they would be greatly appreciated. I tried turning it off and then unplugging it, and leaving and unplugged for about an hour cycling the remote about everything I could think of!
adding this at the last second, but when I went to look on the actual TV to see if I could find the model number, it is making a weird kind of quiet but a squealing noise. I’m not sure if that is normal and I just have never noticed it cause I’ve never put my ear that far close to my TV or not, but figured it was worth a mention.!
