Hi guys I wanted to reach out regarding something. So I’m a new revert in a Mexican household. Only mom knows I’m Muslim. But I’ve been getting so much backlash for “acting different” ever since I came back from college because I’m more quiet, refuse to drink, or indulge in family gossip. It’s honestly very frustrating & annoying because I want to maintain composure. Has anyone else experienced something similar? Adapting Islam has been one of the best decisions of my life alhamdullilah I will never give that up. However, my family is very difficult just seems like they criticize me for everything. Trying to say I’m so boring now & I think eventually I’m going to have to put my distance because it’s affecting my mental health.
