i want to get boox go 7 colour, but is it really unsafe privacy wise? is the pocketbook era colour better?

hello friends! been wanting to get an e-reader, but can’t decide between boox go 7, boox go 7 colour and pocketbook era colour

i’ve seen quite a few reviews around talking about boox’s privacy issues, also some things about their excessive yellow tint to the go 7 colour which kinda messes up the colours a lot

i really like the pocketbook era colour, considering it’s safety and vibrant colours, but i can’t freely use webtoon or tapas and i read a lot more webtoons/mangas as compared to novels, so i would love to be able to read the webtoons on their own sites…

for boox users, what do you guys do to ensure your privacy as much as possible? and were you able to adjust your screen settings to fit what you like/make the colours less warm? is it more worth to just get book go 7 and read all my webtoons and manga in black and white?

for pocketbook era colour users who read webtoon/mangas (are u guys out there), how do you get your books onto your device?

please let me know what you guys think! all advice are welcome and much appreciated 🙏

colour ereader recommendations?

hello friends! i’ve been dying to get my own ereader after a recommendation by a friend to get a kobo clara bw, but i enjoy reading a lot more manga and webtoons rather than just text books.

i’ve been torn between kobo libra colour and boox go 7 colour, but i would also like to know what other colour ereaders i can consider that are out there!

i’m leaning a bit more towards boox go 7 colour because i want to be able to read from the kobo app, libby and other platforms like bookwalker, however i’ve seen several reviews saying the b&w boox go 7 is a lot better than the colour one, so im not sure if i should just forgo colour get the black and white

i also really like the 7” size bc i want it to be portable but still big enough that i dont have to look really close to see the text, i may be ok with slightly bigger?

please share with me your experiences! i would like to get one that lasts and dont want to rush into it.

tdlr: please recommend an e-reader that is
- portable, yet large enough size for comics/manga
- coloured
- can handle multiple book platforms eg kobo, libby, webtoon, mangaplus, bookwalker etc
- good battery life (eg charge maybe once a week?)
- durable eg survive a bit of water (like condensation cos where i stay is humid all year round - i’m worried the inside of the device may have condensation when i go in and out of air-conditioned places), not too prone to cracking or breaking if dropped on accident

the ereader doesn’t have to exactly fulfil all that i dream it can… i may be asking for a lot… but i just want something as close as possible to what i mentioned!
i’m not too worried about price bc i really want to invest in a good one! your thoughts and advice are much appreciated ❤️ thank youu~
