Using my new to me no 7 Bailey to try to flatten a piece of square stock, but keep getting concave results. Any tips or things to look out for that could get a flat result?

I know I could do it by eye and plane more from each end, but I thought just planing the whole length would leave me with a flat surface due to the length of the jointer sole. Is that wishful thinking?

Help me. I’m frustrated but willing to learn!
