I've been friends with this person for several years in college now and they may be my closest friend period. However like the classic roommates to lovers/friends to lovers story goes I developed feelings and confessed even though they've talked about being sort of grossed out/hesitant/turned off/whatever to being in relationships with friends. I basically got rejected I think but some of my other friends say that might not totally be accurate but basically it's a no for now.

Fast forward to now but they recently went on a date with someone and I feel like this type of scenario is so generic but it doesn't make it any less painful and I was just wondering if ppl had advice on how to feel, act, whatever rly
