I discovered I was pregnant at the end of March. I took the abortion pills on 4/23 and 4/24. Today, I am still bleeding quite a bit but am no longer experiencing nausea or breast tenderness.
I had unprotected sex 4 days ago. I decided today to take a pregnancy test and tested positive with a line that’s just as dark, if not darker than the last test I took before the pills. I know they say wait 4-5 weeks after the pills to test but I’m extremely anxious given the recent unprotected sex.
I’m concerned to say the least. Either the clearly positive test is:
• leftover hormones from the first pregnancy
• implying the abortion did not work (despite my heavy bleeding I experienced)
• a new pregnancy
Has anyone experienced something similar or does anyone have advice?
