The edit hotel review
Just finished a weekend staycation for my boys 2nd birthday at the grand Hyatt deer valley in park city Utah. This is one of the hotels that happened to get a boost to 2.5cpp. I already had a reservation booked through the edit for this weekend, so I cancelled my initial booking and was able to rebook a suite for only 12k more points, which to me was very worth it.
When I checked in, the front desk let me know the breakfast benefit covered 2 adults buffets and 2 kids under 12 as well, I assume he may have been conflating globalist benefits with edit benefits? Either way, breakfast was quite tasty and the bill came out to 140 total for each morning I was there, so 280 total. When I went to check out, only the adult portion of the breakfast had been waived. I explained to the front desk guy that I was told everyone in my room would be covered. Front desk told me that I was told wrong, but that they would be waiving the entire breakfast for me as a courtesy. Saved me a good amount of money. They also brought up the upgrade when I checked in, i jokingly asked if they had any upgrades for me,(i literally booked the second largest suite they had) he let me know they were gonna upgrade me to the largest, but if I would have booked a regular king or 2 queen room, they would have upgraded me to a suite though. Off-season for the win I guess
The hotel and staff were so wonderful. Granted, we’re fairly new to the points and miles world, and this is only the 2nd “luxury” hotel we’ve stayed at, but I seriously just couldn’t be more impressed with everyone that worked there. Tons of little touches to try to make my little boys stay a little bit more special. Would definitely be back.
