my manager recently posted on my daily claiming that phrases like: “enjoy” “thanks” “yay” “:)” are no longer considered ‘allowed’ or the ‘standard’. when i brought up the cup writing standards on store resources, she claimed that it’s “outdated” and isn’t aligning with what starbucks wants and to refer to the meeting we had earlier in the year where we went over seasonal and personalized messages. my concern is, is this actually a thing or is it something she’s trying to enforce misinformed? i’ve debated asking our district manager because partners at my store are confused on whether store resources are something to go off of if they are considered “outdated”.
