I am new to Moka Pot where yesterday I cleaned and primed by Moka Pot and made a cup of coffee and it was decent (far from perfect). Today (Day 2) it was extremely bitter. I’m not sure if its my coffee or the setting. Can someone please help me troubleshoot?

1- I use Lavazza pre ground crema e gusto
2- I pre fill with boiling water, and set my electrical stove setting to 8 (max is 14)
3- I see a steady extraction (no sputtering) and I remove the pot from heat when I see the stream getting a lighter color and getting foamy
4- My drink of choice is iced lattes

I prefer medium roast full bodied coffee that’s not bitter. My benchmark is De Mello Dancing Goats
