What is the Best Character AI Alternative? Looking for real suggestions?
sorry for another one of these posts lol but the chat style change 4 days ago really killed it for me. the old style was basically the only reason i stuck around for so long. now it just doesn't hit the same and i'm done waiting to see if they bring it back.
tried to do my homework but most threads i find are either outdated or feel like shill posts. so asking here for actual recs.
stuff i'm looking for:
– no ads
– memory across sessions not just within one chat
– characters that actually stay in character
– sensible replies, not the weird scripted feel
if you've moved off cai recently and stuck with something for more than a couple weeks would love to hear. hidden gems welcome, doesn't have to be popular
