This group has been incredibly helpful so far, with people providing frequent updates about their own situations and making me feel like I’m not alone. I wanted to share that I just received an update from my lawyer: HHS submitted a favourable recommendation. Stay strong. I’m still awaiting the DS 2019 extension, as this is only the first step and the process can take a few months.

Also, not sure when the documents were submitted(probably October or November) but they showed up on the website on December 23rd.
