I've been with my girlfriend for two years now. She recently started talking about possibly shaving her hair very short. Pretty much a buzzcut. She asked what I thought and I asked why she was thinking of that. She asked if it was a problem for me. I was honest and told her that I didn't really find very short hair attractive.

She asked if I'd still find her attractive if she did it and I told her I wasn't sure and just repeated that it's not something I find attractive. She got annoyed and accused me of not loving her enough gut I just told her it wasn't that and that I couldn't help what I found attractive and unattractive.

She accused me of trying to manipulate her into not doing it but I just said she was free to do if I'd she wants but there is a chance I won't be attracted to her. I pointed out I’m not saying I won’t love her etc but in terms of attractiveness, I just don’t find short hair attractive.

She again said I was being manipulative.

Does anyone have any advice on how best to approach this or have any other views on it?

tl;dr my girlfriend asked my opinion on getting a buzz cut. I gave her an honest answer then she argued I was being manipulative.
