Small pot of Portulaca flowers
These flowers followed me home today from our local flower shop. They have just enough blooms to look pretty today and plenty of buds for more blooms in the weeks to come.

These 3 buttons are all uniquely different from each other.
I like the gold tone square buttons pointed pattern.
The green oval button has 2 holes on each side and that is the first time I have seen that.
The metal round one with the fake diamonds looks exquisite. It looks like it came from a woman’s jacket but that is just speculation on my part.
2 cards of Le Chic buttons. They are about 1” square.
Set of 7 Glamour Girl washable buttons. Slightly more than 1/2” diameter. Made by Harvey Chalmers & Sons, Inc. I just love that hair style ❤️. This time I am including the pictures as I forgot to earlier🙃.

Pair of Lady Washington Pearls buttons. Looks like they were for a blouse or dress.
2 partially used sets of carded Lady Washington Pearls buttons. The two at the bottom are similar but I am not sure what brand.
These Lady Washington Pearls buttons were for Dr and Nurse medical uniforms. I believe they are from the 1930’s to 40’s.
I really like these vintage bird buttons as they are unique. They are still “carded” so I did my best to show the actual button backs with a 3rd side view.
I got this last December at a Goodwill store for $24.99. Swiss made and It sews great…I just need to figure out how to get the buttonhole stitch to work. This machine was made between 1969 and 1970 based on the serial number data.
To the right of the stitch length knob is fast reverse lever. To keep it simple, never activate it when you have a cam in or you will break the elnagraph gear, which is plastic and very labor intensive to fix. I say this because if you use it with a double sided cam in it, it will break the gear but so you don’t forget or get confused just don’t use it with any cam (some cams are single).
It came with a bunch of feet, 2 more needle plates , some cams and I purchased a bunch more on eBay. My favorite 2 cams are the cute little flower stitch and the desirable “duck” stitch.
This is a great mechanical sewing machine and a “keeper “ for me which I will continue to enjoy using.
