I have two deer mounts in my room that I’ve had for a couple months now and just today I saw a TikTok saying mounts from the 80s beyond were commonly treated with arsenic to prevent bugs… is that what this is? It does seem like a powdery substance, more so on the mount in the second pictures.. the first one is dated 82’ and the other is unmarked but the wood it’s mounted on it undeniably vintage. Should i be concerned? (First two pics are from the first deer from 82, I can only see a bit on this one. the last three pics are the unmarked one, which has a bit more of this deposit)
