I just got my new Bootstrap Pruno pickups installed in my Squier Sonic Mustang (far left).

I was really nervous. There are no reviews about these pickups. No videos I could find. No pictures of them, even on the bootstrap website. Just a warning that “they don’t clean up well and are not fit for polite company.”

But for $70 for the set, why not take the risk.

They’re incredible. They actually clean up nicely with a very full and harmonically complex tone. Dirty, they’re exactly what I expected and wanted. They take fuzz well and don’t get muddy.
