Book recommendations

I’m in a reading slump and can’t find any that are similar to

-The Corrupt Credence series by Albany Walker

-Masked Duet series by Reese Rivers

-The demon reform Academy by Lyra Winters

-Shattered silence duet by Shona knight

-Tasting Madness series by Albany Walker Masked

-Cursed Descent MistHallow academy by Eve Newton

Basically idc if it’s a paranormal or not. I just like strong men who are protective (maybe borderline obsessive with keeping FMC safe). bullying is ok. Fated mates are ok. Dark is okay. Spicy is okay.

I’m just tired of reading books only to put in my DNF list bc it’s so poorly written. (thanks again to some people who pointed out it’s ok to DNF a book).

Oh and if anyone else is looking for books I highly recommend the ones I listed.

Forgive me if I get some of the details wrong when I read this book, I was recovering from surgery.

What I remember is a child (maybe 2) and her mother lived in a house. The child wished for the Mom to find love, and basically a demon got sent to her, and she trapped him in a Disney cookie jar Or something along those lines I just remember a Disney cookie jar and a demon being trapped in it that turned out to be the mom‘s true love.

On Saturday, my boyfriend and I were at a mall looking for a shirt for my son’s graduation. We went into a store, and a lovely young saleswoman helped me pick out shirts and put them in a regular sized changing room (a total of six rooms, the handicapped accessible room was free, and I was the only one trying clothes on) for me to try on.

While I was standing in there in just my bra and jeans, an older saleswoman stuck her head in the curtain to ask if I could move to another changing room because she had an older woman in a wheelchair. I looked out and could see a man with the older lady looking at me. So I know he saw me, and I could even see my boyfriend in the chair. You know that tone your mom used when you were a kid in a public place that let you know if you didn’t knock it off, you’d be in trouble when you got home? I used that one and told her, “I’m trying to get dressed, and when I’m done, I’ll be done.” We left, and two young saleswomen (including the one who helped me) asked if I found anything. I told them no and that they needed to tell the older saleswoman not to stick her head in someone else’s changing room, exposing them and asking them to move to another room. I then thanked the saleslady for her help. They stood there shocked for a moment and started apologizing.

I just keep thinking, what if that was a 19- or 20-year-old woman who hadn’t learned to stick up for herself? What if it was a SA victim only in their underwear, and you just exposed them to a male? What if it was a child waiting for their mom in the chair, and they got an eyeful of someone? It was a curtain, not a bank vault door; there is no need to stick your head behind the curtain. This isn’t Oz.

Edit to clarify a few things I was not in the handicapped accessible changing room, I was in the first room on the left. The handicap accessible room with two doors down on the left. I do not want anyone fired. I want retraining so this never happens to anyone else.

Update: emailed customer service and then called and spoke to a representative. They put me on hold and spoke to their supervisor and came back. My complaint was escalated and sent to a different dept other than customer services.

First I wanted to become an archaeologist bc I love history and then later a lawyer because l found out I could argue my point and get paid.

Unfortunately I wasn’t able to do either of those. I got into a bad car accident when I was in college where I was T-boned by a semi. Caused a lot of permanent damage including permanent short term memory loss. Which sucks bc I had to drop out of college when my GPA went from deans list to extremely low since I couldn’t remember anything even if I studied for hours a day.
