SO and I going to vieques for 2 nights (bio tour plus beach hopping)- el blok hotel.

We’re planning to spend the other three nights in the East side of PR.

We want the remaining three days to be chill(with the exception of one day for el yunque).

We’re thinking 1 day for luquillo, 1 day for el yunque, and 1 day driving back and spending it in old San Juan/ condado area for our flight returning at 11pm.

We’re thinking luquillo just because it’s referenced often.

But, now I’m wondering if luquillo isn’t the best option for us.

I want it to be something that people stay in, not just a place people lodge in and leave for another place.

At the same time, I don’t want it to be some high rise that has zero palm trees and a tiny beach …

Is luquillo the best thing for us? Or is there a better area than Luquillo for us?

open to hotels, rentals, or cool boutique stays as long as they’re a nice stay while paying under 300$ a night

Planning a trip for SO and I (30y), may 19th 3pm- may 24th at 11pm.

We thought to do two nights in vieques and then two nights on the main land (Luquillo, isla verde, rio, etc).

But. All the stays in vieques don’t look nearly as good as the other places. They’re mostly homes, and not many pretty accommodations.

Now I’m considering not to go to vieques at all due to it not having very many pretty stays that are available.

We considered vieques bc of people’s reviews and the bioluminescent bay, but the accommodation just doesn’t see to be there (pretty stay with beautiful view).

Considering doing a diff island just so we can get a place we’d be happy to go back to during our stay

My SO and I (30 years old) are going to Puerto Rico May 19th (arrive at 3pm) leaving 11pm at night May 24th.

That gives us 5 1/2 days of total time to spend.

We want beach relaxation and a little adventure (first time traveling together).

We also want a scenic Airbnb like those on instagram pretty Infiniti pool with a beautiful mountain Bali like view, or if too hard, pretty Airbnb with beach view.

We don’t know where to stay. It seems like we’d be able to do two stays. The new moon is on May 18th so it seems we have to be in vieques in the beginning of our trip to see the bioluminescent mosquito bay at its best.

We want el yunque, vieques, Old San Juan and snorkeling.

We want the places we stay at to be scenic but also doable distance wise. What’s the best way to do this? Suggestions are greatly appreciated!
