Advice- first steps
Hey! I’m in a situation where although I cannot prove I have BB in the home, I have reason to believe that I do. I have odd lesions all over which could be bites, and have recently brought home second hand furniture. I have carpet beetles in the home which aren’t new, which makes it more confusing to identify potential bb activity.
Ive been given two equally priced options by a local company:
a) have a dog come and see if it’s sniffer will confirm my anxieties
b) have an exterminator come and do an inspection, with a simultaneous preventative treatment being done. They would use aprehend.
I live in an apartment building (in a studio size) so I worry that a preventative treatment without proof of them being found would just compel the bugs to my neighbours. I would really hate that and in my mind would make it overall worse. Are dogs significantly more reliable in finding bugs than humans?
Anyone with advice for me would be greatly appreciated.
