Hi everyone, I’m hoping to ask for advice from sellers who may have experienced something similar.

I’ve had my Etsy shop for 3 years, and my identity and bank details were already verified during my original registration process. Recently, I was asked to complete Persona verification again, and after submitting it, I received a message saying I can’t continue selling.

I’m confused because my shop has been established for years, and I believe this may have been caused by a capture issue, image quality issue, or correctable mismatch during the Persona process.

Has anyone with an established shop experienced this and successfully resolved it? Did you get a manual/human review, and what helped?

I’m trying to handle this properly and would really appreciate any advice on the best next steps.

Hi everyone, I’m hoping to get some advice from other Etsy sellers who may have experienced this.

I tried submitting my seller identity verification documents through Persona, but after the capture/verification process, I received the message: “Unfortunately, you can’t continue to sell on Etsy.”

I genuinely think the Persona capture may have failed me because of the document photo, selfie capture, lighting, formatting, or a possible mismatch in how my legal details were entered. I’m fully willing to provide clearer documents or complete any additional verification steps, but I’m not sure what the best next move is.

Has anyone here experienced this issue with Persona verification on Etsy? Were you able to get it manually reviewed or resolved through Etsy Support?

I’d really appreciate any advice on:

  1. The best way to contact Etsy for this specific issue
  2. Whether live chat or email support worked better
  3. What documents helped with manual review
  4. How long it took to get a response
  5. Anything I should avoid doing, like retrying too many times or opening another account

Thank you so much in advance. I’m trying to handle this properly and would really appreciate guidance from anyone who has been through it.
