This is my first ever gaming PC, I already decided to go with Ryzen 7500F as I'm live in SEA, and already bought Klevv Bolt V 6800 2*16GB.
On the motherboard I'm currently hovering around these three boards as they're priced closely but very different for one another; the B850M Mortar for $213, B650-A Strix for $211, and X670e MSI Gaming Plus for $201.
Here are my considerations;
Relevance:
- I value peace of mind the most. Perhaps I would use this board until they lapsed.
- I'm won't do overclocking. Only efficiency tinkering.
- I choose MSI and Asus as it have better RMA policy here, though I appreciate Gigabyte their reasonable boards I found here (the Elite) is only in white.
- I don't know how long I will stay with 7500F.
- My original salary is around $6 a day, though I got massive raise recently, but I still value things this way.
Irrelevance :
- I don't mind form factor between mATX and full ATX.
- I don't mind network capacity - my internet is lackluster anyway
Here what I thought about these boards;
Strix :
- I love the white on black aesthetics
- it's a Strix, it looks best than the other two
- I heard the network module is faulty?
- for the price it's the weakest compared to the other two, at least from what I can observe
Mortar :
- the most mature board than the other two, I think
- troubleshoot fearures are great
- I disliked the color scheme, especially the slimy green
Gaming Plus :
- it have similar aesthetics of the Strix while being superior spec wise
- I heard that this board have the worst quality than them all, especially in VRM. My friend emphasize this.
- I heard it have worse build quality than the other two?
Any constructive suggestions is appreciated, and sorry for bad English, I barely speak it. Thank you.
