As vrea sa radiez un PFA pe care am emis o singura factura anul asta. Ce probleme as putea sa am in viitor?

So apparently I'm a prediabetic even though there's no real reason for it. Bad luck I guess.

I'm a 38 year old guy weighing 76kg.

I workout 4 times a week, resistance and 20 minutes cardio.

I eat fairly healthy, normal portions.

I do like my carbs though, I admit.

I don't drink. I quit smoking 6 years ago, after smoking for 17 years.

Turns out I'm prediabetic. At least according to the lab results. I have a doc appointment next week.

I have no history of diabetus in my family. For what it's worth.

Evidently until then I'm worrying because why not.

I don't really have a point to this to be honest.

Anybody else have experience with this stuff? Any tips?

Edit: Here's some stats

My fasting blood glucose is 93.4 mg/dL

Homa B is at 154%

Homa-ir at 3

And fasting insulin at 13 µU/mL

Example food journal diet

Breakfast(varies slightly, but the general tone is the same - it's easy to make):

2 boiled eggs

33 grams(3 slices) of whole bread

20g chickpea hummus

50g zacusca i have no clue how to translate this

110g smoked tofu

60g steel cut oats

300g soy yougurt

1 granny smith apple

60g cherry tomatoes

Lunch

Chicken/turkey grilled breast

Or some beef or ocasionally some shitty food like pizza

Sidedish is peas + rice or potato

And some fruit, usually granny smith apple or plums

Dinner

Kefir

Tomato + olives + cheese salad

Or

Cottage cheese + blueberry

Snacks

Usually granny smith apple(i really love them)

This adds up to about 180-190g of carbs. It's a lot of carbs mind you.

I'm a 38 year old guy. My current weight is 76kg, and my height is 177cm.

I don't drink. I quit smoking 6 years ago.

I workout 4 times a week. This includes resistance and 20 minutes of cardio.

I generally have a healthy diet with at least 130g proteins per day, and about 190g carbs from good quality foods(generally). I almost never eat carbs alone.

I have 0 other health issues, that I know of at least.

My fasting blood glucose is 93.4 mg/dL

Homa B is at 154%

Homa-ir at 3

And fasting insulin at 13 µU/mL

The lab results say that homa b and homa ir are waaaaay above normal.

I have a doctor appointment next week.

But I honestly don't know what I could do different. Maybe cut down on the carbs?

Could this be some genetic stuff? Or am I worried about nothing?

This is not a troll post I swear.

My grandfather passed away a few years back. He had a bunch of land, maybe 4-5 hectares, I have no idea, spread arouns the village he lived in.

He used to make a lot of Țuică...like a lot. I have no idea how much but a lot.

There are at least 90 plum trees spread around the land. I stopped counting at 90 tbh. I think there's close to 150 total.

On average they produce about 5-7 tons of plums a year. I think.

I have no fucking idea what to do with that many plums.

I don't know, nor am I interested in learning, how to make țuică. I can't sell them because everybody and their mother has plums around here. I can't exacly leave them to drop on the ground either because I'll end up with a gorilliion baby trees.

I can cut them down I suppose, but even that will take some time. And I'm not sure I want to go that route either.

It will be a while until they fruit but I want to be ready.

Really, I'm looking for any ideas.

Preseve them? Give them away(that may work actually...if anybody even wants to take them)?

I'm saving towards leanfire, and making good progress I might add. I'm about half way there, give or take.

I was never a big spender to begin with so that helps a lot. The closer I get to my goal the more I see I'm saving money as the goal, but I have no end.

I don't know where I read or heard, some article maybe: "Build the life you want, then save for it".

Now, don't get me wrong, I don't hate my life or anything, but I'm not exactly thrilled with it either. Evidently work takes a huge chunk of my day. But even without work, I just go to the gym, take a bunch of walks if it's nice outside, and waste time on my phone/pc.

The closer I get to leanfire the more I ask myself: "what for?"

It goes without saying that it's a hell of a lot easier to ask yourself "what for?" and come up with a good answer when money is not an issue(or at least not a gigantic issue).

I've never really found meaning in work, the issue is, I never really found meaning outside of it either.

I don't really have a point to this post. Fitting to the theme I suppose.

I have this colleague that I work with about 20% of the time.

He's a very good developer, genuinely one of the best I've worked with. But he's kinda difficult to work with. He's a bit on the arrogant side, not enough to out right call him that, but just enough to be bothered by it. He also talks a looooot. Like a ridiculous amount. This is not a "me" impression, everybody says the same thing.

Over the course of about 3 years since I've worked with this guy...well, I can't really stand him anymore. I can't quit either since the job market is the way that it is, and transferring to another team is not really an option either since there's like 4 of us total.

Imma be honest here, I am terribly mediocre as a developer. Most of the time I just do whatever task I have in a reasonable amount of time without thinking too much about it. And I have zero intention of getting more involved. Where as he's the exactly opposite.

I'm not really sure I have a point to this rant, but if you guys and girls have any tips on how to manage...myself I guess, since I'm stuck here for the foreseeable future, I'd appreciate it.
