How do you guys actually keep track of internship deadlines without losing hours daily?

Hi r/internships,

I’ve been struggling with this for a while — checking Internshala, LinkedIn, company career pages, etc. takes a lot of time, and even then I still end up missing good opportunities or deadlines.

Curious how others here handle it:

  • Do you manually check sites daily?
  • Use any tools, trackers, or alerts?
  • Or just apply whenever you come across something?

I’ve been experimenting with a way to automate this for myself (basically collecting listings and reviewing them in one place daily), but not sure if others face the same problem or if there’s a better approach.

Would love to know what’s working for you guys.

A free automated internship finder for Indian students.

Hi r/ITjobsinindia ,

Today I launched ApplyNest — a tool that automatically finds internships and jobs for Indian students and emails them every morning.

The problem it solves: students spend 2-3 hours daily manually checking Internshala, LinkedIn, company websites. They still miss deadlines. I was one of them.

The product: scans 10+ portals + 70+ company career pages nightly. Sends one personalised email at 7 AM. Free.

It's live as of today. Getting the first real users now.

Would appreciate any feedback.

Launched my first product today — a free automated internship finder for Indian students. Here's what I built and what I learned.

Hi r/indianstartups,

Today I launched ApplyNest (applynest.in) — a tool that automatically finds internships and jobs for Indian students and emails them every morning.

The problem it solves: students spend 2-3 hours daily manually checking Internshala, LinkedIn, company websites. They still miss deadlines. I was one of them.

The product: scans 10+ portals + 70+ company career pages nightly. Sends one personalised email at 7 AM. Free.

What I learned shipping this:

  1. The hardest part wasn't the scraper — it was deduplication. Same job appears on 4 portals with different titles.
  2. Email deliverability is underrated. Had to work on SPF/DKIM properly.
  3. Company career pages are wildly inconsistent. Each one needs custom parsing.

It's live as of today. Getting the first real users now.

Would appreciate any feedback from founders here on GTM, retention, or anything you'd do differently.
