So it's pretty much like the battle scenes from the film, it's atmosphere and vibe in video game form and expanded on (also keeping the 80s, 90s atmosphere). It's a game where you play as a soldier among the city ruins trying to survive T-800s T-1000s etc. Where you have to go on missions to destroy Skynet machines and try to survive with other people.
A lot of potential for really cool action like rail shooting from a jeep. Hacking into machines. Guerilla style stealth missions.
On top of it all. It also has to add to the lore of Terminator 1 & 2 (an actual sequel...no offense to films after T2) There are also moments where you get to learn a bit more behind John Connor as a leader and his plans on sending back Terminators from T1 and T2.
In Terminator 1, there are scenes where people are hiding underground, so the game could also expand on the underground aspects, like how people survive how they find food etc. So we get more exploration where we can pick up unique items and inspect or talk to civilians.
Game could also have some kind of upgrade system for improvisational weapons where you can build and customise unique weapons out of whatever you find to take out machines.
Overall I think the setting has a lot of potential for a really good video game (especially now with a lot of Ai) and I do find it weird to me how there is no such game that exists yet? I believe it would sell like hot cakes and I would definitely buy day one.
