I‘m really mad right now at Dexcom for shutting down the G6‘s production and basically forcing us to start switching to the G7. I can’t believe the audacity they have to do this, what with being in the middle of a lawsuit for how absolute garbage the G7 is. I stuck with the G7 for a year and NEVER want to return to that horror show. Three times, that useless piece of junk almost got me killed. Once because it faked a high and got my pump to dose me, once because it faked a low and got me to have fast-acting sugar while I was 220+, once because it lost signal for no apparent reason at a time when I desperately needed readings. People are going to go to the hospital because of this horrible decision. I genuinely can’t believe how few people seem to be as pissed as I am about this. We need to sue Dexcom for this too. They are putting our safety at stake because they’re too lazy to make a healthcare product actually function before selling it.

And don’t come at me with that corporate blither about “production lines,” this is lifesaving technology we are talking about; you CANNOT be playing with people’s health and discontinuing an objectively better and safer product so you can sell more G7s. Don’t say “just go and use Libre” or some other substitute, because the reputation for their newest CGM isn’t any better, and for those of us who live in the U.S., we cannot afford to go through the bureaucratic financial hellscape that is switching to a new device not already covered by our insurance. I seriously hope the people doing crazier mental gymnastics than a psychic Simone Biles to defend this decision are all being paid by Dexcom or bot accounts, because otherwise we have a lot more daft people or a lot more sadists in the world than I thought.

Anyone know what to do during SGF if I don't have a ticket? Is there anything going on related to it that I can attend? would rather not be studying on a weekend where everyone is partying. Thanks

PLEASE for the love of god STOP doing that stupid fucking winding-snake movement thing when you’re in a PEDESTRIAN area!! Ride in a STRAIGHT line. As a pedestrian, whenever you start twisting and turning like the web of a spider on LSD while speeding in my direction, I CANNOT tell where you are trying to go and it looks EXACTLY like you are about to crash into me at 12mph. So: DRIVE IN A STRAIGHT LINE WHEN YOU ARE GOING THROUGH A PEDESTRIAN AREA. It’s not a Tony Hawk game or some show, nobody is scoring you for tricks, just be a mature adult and stop risking everybody else’s safety because your attention span is so dilapidated that you can’t bear to go in a straight line for more than three seconds. Make it CLEAR what direction you are going and when you are about to turn so that we are not dodging and flinching out of the way - you’re not more important than everybody else, you should not expect everyone to get out of your way.
