125 gallon tank seam failed and PetSmart still can’t provide my receipt

So at this point I genuinely have to ask: why is it THIS hard to get a receipt from PetSmart for a warranty claim?

I bought a 125 gallon aquarium setup there about a year and a half ago. The silicone failed along the bottom seam of the tank, and because it’s still under warranty, I’ve spent MONTHS trying to get a copy of the receipt so I can continue the claim process.

What’s crazy is:

I bought it with my card

I know the exact store location

I know roughly when it was purchased

management acknowledged the purchase happened

corporate keeps bouncing me back to the store

the store keeps saying they’re “working on it”

Meanwhile this has turned into months of escalations, calls, and emails just trying to get proof of purchase for a tank that literally had a seam failure.

I’m honestly exhausted at this point. I’m not even asking for anything unreasonable anymore, I’d accept store credit just to resolve the situation and move on.

Has anyone else dealt with this with PetSmart warranty claims or receipt retrieval? Is there some magical phrase I’m supposed to say to unlock the ancient forbidden technology known as “reprinting a receipt”?

Because right now it genuinely feels easier to reseal a 125 gallon aquarium myself than get paperwork from this company.
