

DoorDash stole my money and won’t explain why
I recently doordashed an item from a store, and it didn’t work as well as I expected. I went to the store to attempt to return the item and receive a refund, and they told me it would be refunded to the DoorDash card account and that I would have to contact DoorDash support for help with the refund process. I contacted them, and asked for how to get my refund, and they told me to go ahead with the in-store refund and that they would issue me a refund. I even clarified it and have it in writing.
A day later, I received an email saying they declined my request. I called them up and explained my situation, and they “escalated it to their specialist team” for further review. I then receive another denial of my refund. The explanation is vague, and the support agent on the phone said they would not be able to transfer me to the specialist team so I could talk to them, nor were they able to provide a non-vague reason for the denial.
Now I don’t have the item and I don’t have my money. DoorDash telling me to return the item so they get a refund but then not giving me my money is highway robbery.
Lesson learned: don’t spend money on DoorDash because they are a shitty company that refuses to have any integrity. I’m going to cancel my DashPass membership and probably look to other delivery services instead..
