Due to the changes in the BMV visa, I will be closing my company. I asked my immigration administrative scrivener what the proper process is and he said because I have to pay a tax accountant and a judicial scrivener about 400k total, he recommended just leaving the country and letting the company be closed automatically by the goverment in 10 years, he said since I'm abroad the tax office won't go after me to file taxes. This seems like a wildly irresponsible suggestion! What if I want to come back to Japan and then I have to explain why I didn't file taxes for 10 years?! I want to do it the right way but 400k is huge. Is it really that difficult to close a company?
