I just got an Olympus AF-1 Super, and I have a couple of questions.

First of all, I’ve seen many videos of people removing the plastic cover in front of the lens on the standard AF-1 to clean it, and apparently it can also make the camera sharper (though at the cost of losing weather resistance). However, I can’t find a single video about doing this on the AF-1 Super. Is it possible to remove the plastic protection without having to disassemble the whole camera?

Second, do the photos look sharp to you? None of the photos seem to have the sharpness I’ve seen in some examples online. Do you think there might be a problem with my camera, or could it be the lab? Or maybe i'm just a noob...
