My second attempt at making a colonization mod. The new update broke many previous ones.
A game with my new mod: colonization overhaul.
With the new interest system the ai is severely limited in the new patch due to sometimes not properly knowing how to get a interest with ships especially.
My old mod here https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3643903129 was mainly a fork of the Victorian century mod and the Berlin conference. But this time I left it out and relied more on claims when colonising the respective regions.
My new mod is my second attempt at making colonization without border gore possible again. But making it historically accurate is another hard task with this update.
The changes in Libya, Ethiopia and South Africa made border gore even more rampant. And Liberia never colonises, right?
I’ve played the update for many hours since release and the ai losing colonial wars is another problem of this release. This makes the colonization game more difficult but also worse for the ai.
I also included a decision to unify the Indian and Indonesian subjects for their overlord to reduce border gore even more.
