Hi all, I want to DIY a solar array onto my office roof. It's rubber so I don't want to drill into it, but also don't really want to spend a fortune on a ballasted mount. First picture is the office, top of the picture is South East. Second pic is what I'm imagining a DIY job could look like (not bothered about it looking scruffy). Office is very solid and will take the ballasted weight (about 40kg per panel is estimate). I checked with the builder. Pitch is 10 degrees.
Finally, I was thinking 5 to 6 panels but might start with 4...
I would so appreciate any advice! Should I just stop being tight and get a proper mount? Though I think I'd need two which I think is gonna cost like 700 quid... I think I could DIY it for 150ish...
Can you let me know if I'm crazy or can I do this on the cheap?
