Just venting
My husbands family (siblings and his mum - obviously his parents divorced when he was a kid because it was the 90s and that was the style at the time 😅)
So his mum, sister, brother his wife, his cousin and his cousins wife are all in a group chat with us - except it’s BS…
They all call each other about everything multiple times a day, except we are not contacted by anyone except maybe his mum like once a fortnight, she doesn’t want to talk to him, just our kids (we are also the only ones with kids, her only grandkids)
So the group chat is basically just there to make us look ‘included’…. Except she made a rule that no gifs are allowed at all because she doesn’t like them….me and hubby use gifs every now and then, she cracked it, went crying to his brother who then rang my husband and called me all kinds of names for ‘ignoring his mums boundaries’…. (I said the no gif rule was a bit much)
But essentially both me and my husband have blocked that group chat and we only post photos and videos into the big extended relative in-law chat. So she sees the photos and videos of kids at the same time as everyone else.
She also like to complain that we are never available for video calls - we just don’t do them after 4pm because we’re getting 3 kids under 3 bathed, fed and into bed from that time……. And she refuses to line up a time for a video call in advance or text us to see if we’re free….. because she also ‘doesn’t do text’…..
Anyway that’s my rant 🫠😂
