Hi everyone, I’m here seeking some advice and see if anyone else has felt similar to me before. My sweet girl is almost 3 (in June) and we’ve been solely focusing on potty training for the last 3-4 weeks now. Since she’s been 2 we’ve introduced her to the potty multiple times but she showed no interest, then recently we went full commando at home. Now I have her mostly in undies and sometimes in pull ups at night. I feel super discouraged sometimes because she has multiple accidents a day and a good half the time she knows she has to go but she just refuses to go. Even if she pools and pees in her undies she doesn’t really even care too much about it. I try making it fun like doing prizes and rewards, using stickers, all of the above and it’s so defeating sometimes. I start getting frustrated with her and I feel terrible. I know everyone says not too punish them but sometimes I’m at my wits end and there’s times she thinks it’s funny to soil herself and it ends up getting on our couch or floor and I start getting overwhelmed. Everyone around me who has kids her age. All have their kids potty trained and tell me how easy it is for them and I can’t help but feel like I’m failing. Does anyone have any advice on what worked for them or any other parent feel frustrated with their little one? I’m super hard on myself and any reassurance would be appreciated!
