Nikkah without wali
I am 27 (F) Jordan and my fiancé is (27) M syria. We are trying to get out katb kitab/ nikkah done here in the uae we are both residents. We have been struggling for the past 2 months to find a way to do it as my father is not present in my life for more than 6 years. We are unable to locate him and for personal reasons he is better off not knowing I’m getting married as he can create and cause an issue. Bottom line is I don’t have brothers as I am a single child and no uncle and grandfather as they are dead. Can someone please let me know if they have been through the same situation or know someone who has been ? I am so exhausted as no one in the court is giving me a straight answer all of them have been making me go in circles round and round. Would really appreciate it if someone can help me. As per to sharia law qadi should be my wali but they are not making it easy as they are asking for a document from the embassy stating my father is not in my life which this paper apparently cannot be given from the embassy. Would appreciate the help 🙏
