Sly 4 Save file please

Trying to play Sly 4 Thieves in Time on PS3 emulation. Since I’m playing on my Ally X I can’t do the motion controls required to advance past some parts. Almost bricked my Ally X trying to get the software to make it work.

Could someone please share their PS3 save file if they’ve beaten the game? I really want to play it and this seems to be the best way to

Hey everyone,

I’m seriously considering downsizing my setup to a single "unified" device. I love the idea of having one game library, one set of save files, and the Nintendo Switch-like ability to just undock and take my games with me. Since I travel and relocate frequently, dragging a massive tower around is getting old.

Here is the current situation and my plan:

My Current Desktop (To be sold/scrapped):

  • MSI Aegis ZS2
  • Ryzen 9 7900X
  • 64GB 6500MHz RAM
  • RTX 5080 (Keeping this)
  • Spare 1000W PSU (Keeping this)

The Plan: I want to pull the RTX 5080 and the 1000W PSU, sell the rest of the desktop tower, and use the Ally X as my daily driver. I’m planning to use an open-air USB4 board (like the ADT-Link UT3G) as the dock for the 5080. When I'm at my desk, I plug in one USB4 cable and play at 4K. When I leave, I unplug it and have my emulation and indie library ready to go.

I know I am going to lose some raw performance compared to the Ryzen 9 desktop, but I’m hoping the convenience is worth the trade-off.

For those of you who have replaced your main rig with an Ally X and a high-end eGPU over USB4, I have a few specific questions:

  • The Bandwidth Bottleneck: How bad is the USB4 penalty at 4K? Is an RTX 5080 complete overkill for a 40Gbps connection, or does the higher resolution keep the GPU busy enough to hide the bottleneck?
  • The Z1 Extreme CPU: Does the mobile processor struggle to keep up with a high-end GPU in CPU-heavy games, even when the internal graphics are disabled and thermals are freed up?
  • The "Jank" Factor: How seamless is the docking experience in Windows 11? Are you constantly rebooting, fighting driver conflicts, or dealing with external monitors not waking up?
  • Any Regrets? Do you miss having a dedicated desktop, or is the single-device lifestyle actually as good as it sounds?

Any insights, tips, or reality checks from people running a similar setup would be hugely appreciated!
