Using a phone gps, still running <10km. Are the overestimates likely to be anything significant or don’t worry about it at this stage?

Want to do a big trip this summer, originally planned on doing the Middle East but that’s out the window now - looking at Central Asia, SE Asia, Africa or South America. Problem is flights are so expensive from Uk due to school holidays, so is there any routes to make it cheaper? E.g I’ve flown to Milan before fly out again for cheaper
