Hey everyone, I need a second opinion. I was about to buy the Sony WH-CH720N for late night movie watching and gaming at my desk (don't want to wake the parents with speakers).

However, after lurking here, I’m seeing many people say that IEMs at this price point offer much better detail and "slam" than wireless headphones.

I already have the Realme Buds T310 for daily use, but this new pair will be strictly for my desktop setup.

Budget: ₹4,000 INR

Use Case: Movies/ Gaming (AAA Story titles and COD)

Setup: Connected directly to my PC (Motherboard audio/Cabinet jack).

My Main Concerns:

*Will I miss the soundstage of an over-ear headphone for movies?

*Are there specific IEMs under 4k that provide that "theatrical" cinematic bass without being muddy?

*Is it worth getting a budget DAC?

Would love some recommendations that are available in India!
