Hi everyone! My wife and I (36&33) will be visiting Canada for the first time. We're landing on May 25th in Calgary and our flight back home departs from Calgary on June 2nd at 2:00 PM.
We're looking for a relaxed, scenic trip — enjoying the views, doing some walking and moderate hikes, and soaking in the region.
Here's our current plan:
Here's our current plan:
- May 25–29 (4 nights): Banff
- May 29 (driving day): Icefields Parkway. Spending the night along the road
- May 30–31 (2 nights): Jasper
- June 1: Drive back to Calgary — either via Icefields Parkway again or Hwy 11 (David Thompson)
- June 2: Return the RV in the morning, then catch our 2 PM flight ✈️
What do you think? Any suggestions on must-see stops, campgrounds, or things we should adjust?
Thanks in advance
[Edit: Thanks everyone for the replies and tips! I listened to you and secured my spots. Hopefully there were still a few left!
I've just changed one thing: I cut one day from Banff and added it to Jasper.
The campground reservations are:
- May 25 → 28 – Tunnel Mountain, Banff
- May 28 → 29 – Silverhorn
- May 29 → May 31 – Whistlers, Jasper
- May 1 → June 2 – Still open; thinking about heading over to Moraine Lake (June 1st will be the opening day)]
