STOLEN DOG! - advice please
Morgan and THT family please lend some advice!
About two weeks ago we adopted a dog (known as 13, now Nova). This dog has come to us multiple times since August 2025. We took the correct route and dropped her off at the shelter every time. We were fighting to keep her but couldn’t do anything due to the dog being property, so technically we would be stealing her.
As I was getting ready for work I had in the back (she loves laying in the sun). I saw her going crazy at the fence which she doesn’t do anymore. Told her off (her command for get down) then went inside to quickly get my stuff as I was about to drop her off at doggy daycare.
I came outside to see she was gone! She got through the fence. I saw her with a lady who I’ve see her with before (her previous owners!). I ran inside to get shoes (30 seconds max) and they were gone. She is hiding this dog somewhere!!!
I confronted the man and animal control talked to them as well. We know they are the previous owners due to paperwork. He even told me “well I payed 1,200 and lost her, you payed less and lost her now too”.
They have her and are hiding her somewhere. I’ve talked to almost all the neighbors asking them to keep an eye out. Waiting for police as speak.
