Amazon Product & Fulfillment Challenges

In 2018, I sold Bamboo Toothbrushes that did fairly well on Amazon, but decided to stop because I wasn't aligned with my then partner.

Fast forward, I was fortunate enough to network with a good supplier overseas, and with a good 3PL company in the US because my current job allows me to search for one.

I'm curious to hear from sellers today what challenges they face when they sell on Amazon. Is it the product, or perhaps the quality of the product that vendors execute? Was the fulfillment fee too high that forced you to price it higher than your competitors?

I would love to hear any feedback from current sellers to help me prevent any bad decisions I can make.

I used to sell bamboo toothbrushes on Amazon back in 2019. The product did well, and I decided to stop because me and my partner then was not aligned.

I'm considering going back to selling on Amazon platform but would love to hear seller's challenges to help me prevent any possible mistakes I can make if I were to pull this trigger.

Was it challenging in finding the right product? Or perhaps the vendor's quality of the product? I remember the cost to get the product fulfilled through Amazon cost me an arm and a leg, so is that still true today? If so, how did one pivot from that?
