Hey guys, I recently got an RTX 4070 Ti and didn’t really pay attention to the clearance for the 12VHPWR connector inside my case.
With the side panel closed, the cable ends up slightly bent right after the connector.
My question is:
is this kind of bend safe for normal use, or could it lead to overheating/melting issues over time?
I’m considering a few options:
- a 90° adapter
- a 16-pin to 16-pin (90°) extension
- or even changing the case
But I’m a bit concerned because:
- I’m not sure which adapters/extensions are actually reliable
- and most bigger cases I found are more “aquarium-style”, which I’ve heard can have worse airflow
Has anyone here dealt with this before?
Is it fine to use it like this for now, or should I fix it ASAP?
Edit: when I remove the side panel, only one of the cables moves slightly, the overall shape stays the same.
Appreciate any help — I’ve never had a GPU at this level before 😅
