I’m trying to remember a movie (or maybe TV show) and can’t figure it out.

There’s a small interrogation scene where Denzel Washington (or possibly another actor) is questioning a man about his girlfriend getting injured.

The guy claims they were in a car crash and says something like his airbag went off but hers didn’t (she was in the passenger seat). The interrogator points out that the car was manufactured after 1998, so it should have had passenger airbags, implying the story doesn’t add up and that he may have actually beaten her.
