I’ve been building a Chrome extension and its turning into a pretty full on-page SEO + tracking inspector. Would love some honest feedback before I go further.
Right now it does:
• On-page SEO audit (title, meta, keywords, canonical, robots, author, lang, word count) • Headings analysis (H1–H6 structure + full order view) • Image audit (total, missing ALT, full list) • Link audit (internal vs external, no follow vs follow, missing titles, sample list) • SEO score + priority issues + quick summary • Tracking detection (GSC, GA4, GTM, Meta Pixel) • Competitor comparison within extension (side-by-side basic gap analysis) • Split/side view workflow for analysis • Actions: open sitemap, robots.txt, view-source, index check (site:url) • Copy full report • Export report as PDF • CSS disable (to view raw content)
Goal is to turn this into a complete SEO suite, not just another audit extension.
Be honest:
- Whats actually useful here vs just noise?
- Whats missing that would make you use this daily?
I’m trying to avoid building a bloated tool that looks cool but nobody actually uses.
